The Memory of Fleeting Beauty explores the fragile relationship between beauty, memory, and time. The scattered flowers symbolize beauty itself, but they are intentionally not arranged in a vase or structured composition. Instead, they appear in seemingly random placements, reflecting the way memories return to us – not as complete images, but as fragmented flashes and fleeting impressions. The flowers become echoes of the past, suspended between remembrance and disappearance.
Surrounding them is a muted greenish-yellow-brown palette inspired by the exact tones flowers, especially roses, take on as they wither and die. This color represents the present moment: the aftermath of beauty once alive. While the flowers embody memory and the lingering traces of the past, the decaying tones around them remind the viewer of time’s inevitability and the impermanence of all beauty.
